EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The United States Consulate General seeks applicants for the position of Information Systems Center Manager

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Job holder is responsible for performing a wide variety of I.T duties.  This includes but is not limited to:

-- Job holder is the post representative for all Dept of State systems for the Bureau of Information Resource Management. 

-- Job holder manages the Information Systems Center and the Information Programs Center responsible for all data processing equipment and systems. 

-- Job holder reports to the Management Officer, assists the Management Officer with post's IT budget plan and the IT component of the MPP submission.

-- Job holder provides the Management Officer with annual budget figures for lifecycle costs of all post-funded IT equipment and provides the Management Officer on Post IT services on the ICASS service list. 

-- Job holder performs classified shipping, receiving, screening and distribution functions in the Post IPC.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

-- A baccalaureate degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Technology Systems is required.  A minimum of three years’ experience working with computer networks is required, or a minimum of three years Systems Administrator, systems maintenance and network management is required, or a combination of the two.

--Or seven years’ experience working with computer networks is required, or a minimum of seven years Systems Administrator, systems maintenance and network management is required, or a combination of the two.

-- Must be proficient in operating Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

-- Language Proficiency: English, Level 4 (fluent) is required.

-- Must have a valid driver’s license.

-- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance. 

WHO MAY APPLY: Applicants must be a United States Citizen who either possesses or can obtain the required work and/or residency permits and be able to begin work in Curacao within one month of receiving a final offer of hire
